Vibrant Communicator ActiveX (VCX) library version 3.0 is a set of ActiveX controls designed for developers of audio streaming projects, such as voice chat, web chat, multi-streaming and similar applications. VCX library provides real-time, low latency multi-client audio streaming over TCP/IP networks. It includes efficient components for sound recording, playback, encoding, decoding, mixing, resampling, reading and writing wave files, and volume controls access. It also provides TCP/IP server and client components for peer-to-peer, multi-user and broadcasting audio communications.

VCX library was successfully tested in the following environments:

• Processor: Intel Pentium 100 MHz or higher (PIII is recommended);
• Operating system: Microsoft Windows 95/98/Me; NT 4.0; 2000/XP/2003;
• Development environment: Visual Studio 6.0/.NET; Borland Delphi or Borland C++ Builder; or any IDE compatible with COM components;
• Memory: minimum 32 MB of RAM (64 MB is recommended)
• Disk usage: about 4 MB of hard disk space
• Video: VGA or higher resolution monitor
• Mouse or other pointing device is recommended but not required
• Audio Hardware: sound card and (optional) microphone compatible with installed version of Microsoft Windows. Some demos included in VCX library require full-duplex mode (recording and playing back at the same time) to be supported by the hardware and software. Most high quality microphones and sound cards that are currently being shipped meet this requirement.

If you wish to use VCX library in your development environment, a proper license must be ordered from Lake of Soft. There are tree types of licenses available: Developer, Enterprise and Enterprise plus conference server.

With Developer license you can install and use the VCX library on your machine, but applications developed under this license may not be distributed. The license fits perfectly for home users, or for server-only applications, where no distribution for end-users is planned.

Enterprise license is for group of developers working in one company. VCX library delivered under this license may be installed on several machines according to license terms. Each machine may be used to develop any number of applications (incuding commercial) based on VCX library. This license also includes distribution license, so it is also possible to redistribute our library along with your products.

Enterprise plus conference server license is similar to Enterprise license but also includes a conference server component, with specified number of online clients this component can handle.

All types of licenses are non-transferable, and cannot be shared.
